Bali’s Top 5 Live Music Venues

Here on the ‘island of the gods’ we’re blessed to have a thriving music scene with ultra talented musicians both local and from around the globe. And it definitely helps that we’ve also got tons of great venues to showcase all those stellar bands. We took a tour around the island to discover the hippest, most happening rocking spots to get your groove on to live tunes, and these are the ones that topped our list.

The Orchard Bar & Restaurant - Live Music Bali

The Orchard Bali

Conveniently located on Jalan Nakula in Seminyak, The Orchard Bar & Restaurant gets rave reviews for its laid-back vibes, super friendly staff, and fab menu that includes great pub grub like fish & chips and barbecued seafood. Although they seem to be busy most nights of the week, the nights they really pack out is when The Orchard Sessions are going on with live bands made up of local and international musicians playing a mix of rock, soul and R&B. It also doesn’t hurt that they’ve got great drink specials every live music night like 2-for-1 daiquiris and espresso martinis.

Ubud may be a tad quieter than its sister cities in the south, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find great bands to rock out to here. For a consistently solid line-up of live acts, Laughing Buddha Bar wins the prize. Depending on the night of the week, you can catch great rock shows, jazz and blues acts, swinging salsa sets and even African drumming collectives. Just be sure to get there early, as the place packs out fast.
