Si Datu Bua

3 Cabins | 6 Guests | 11 Crew | 40m
From USD 12,000 / night

Meticulously designed and handcrafted by the Konjo boat builders of Sulawesi, Si Datu Bua evokes the spirit of the golden age of exploration with her traditional Phinisi design, yet she also boasts the cutting edge technology and superior service of a modern day superyacht. This is the sister ship of the much sought after Silolona, and although she is slightly smaller at 40 metres, she lacks nothing when it comes to luxury and style.

Onboard

Spread out below Si Datu Bua’s wine-coloured sails are expansive wooden decks where you can while away the hours suntanning, reading and napping on soft sun loungers, enjoying gourmet meals and seafood barbecues under the stars at the al fresco dining tables, or cosying up in the bowsprit lounge area to gaze out at the jungle-covered isles, volcanic peaks and deserted beaches passing by.

The interiors of Si Datu Bua are tastefully decorated with wooden accents, traditional textiles and Indonesian artefacts throughout. The roomy cabins are perfect for rest and relaxation, and guests will find plenty of places to gather and recount the day’s adventures in the spacious lounge and dining room with large windows and ample seating and the multimedia room with all the latest entertainment technology.

Bespoke Cruises

Much like her spice trading Phinisi ancestors, Si Datu Bua sails in harmony with Southeast Asia’s monsoon seasons to ensure the smoothest sailing experiences and spectacular diving and snorkelling opportunities. Depending on the time of year, you could explore the white sand beaches, jungles and traditional villages of Sulawesi, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Komodo National Park, the historically intriguing Banda Islands, or the unrivalled dive spots of Raja Ampat. Si Datu Bua also sails to Papua, the Andaman Islands, the Mergui Archipelago, western Thailand and Langkawi.

Cabins

Each of the three cabins on Si Datu Bua was designed for the utmost privacy and comfort. The warm wooden floors, ceilings and shelves create a cosy and inviting atmosphere, and the textiles and artworks with local motifs and patterns add splashes of colour and class. The suites also feature plush queen-sized beds with high-quality linens and ensuite bathrooms with his and hers sinks and all the amenities you would expect from a five-star hotel.
