What ties it together is the material palette: century-old reclaimed teak from Java, ironwood from Kalimantan, andesite, terrazzo and local limestone, all set behind floor-to-ceiling windows. The result is a home that sits in genuine harmony with the cliff and the ocean beyond, rather than simply perched on top of it.
The main living space sits upstairs in the two-storey main house, where a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room with custom-built sofas open up behind floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s a bright, easy space to cook, eat and unwind, with the reclaimed timbers and natural stone giving it real warmth. Downstairs there’s an intimate theatre room — the place to settle in for a film when the afternoon heat peaks. The practical details are all in hand throughout: a Smart TV, speakers in the living areas, complimentary high-speed WiFi, electronic safes, and air-conditioned bedrooms and living room.
