OverviewYour day at Villa Shamballa Residence starts when you wake up to the sound of the wind rustling in the coconut trees just outside your bedroom window and the sun streaming into your gorgeous open-concept bedroom. Head downstairs to the breakfast nook and soak in the incredible views of the jungle spilling down the steep sides of the river valley, as the smiling staff serve you a feast of fresh fruit, toast, eggs, and heavenly Indonesian coffee.
After breakfast, take a dip in your private infinity pool and watch the clouds float by overhead, or relax on one of the plush couches in the living lounge, before heading into nearby Ubud for an afternoon of arts, culture, shopping and dining at some of Bali’s best restaurants. If you like, the staff can also arrange trips around Bali for you, so you can experience some of the best sights that the island has to offer.
As night starts to fall, you make your way back to the villa for a romantic gourmet dinner prepared by your talented villa chef and paired with a few glasses of fine wine. After dinner, the staff discreetly slip into the background so you can enjoy the soothing ambiance of the softly lit pool area and lounge, take in a good movie on the flat screen TV, or have a few cocktails in the outdoor jacuzzi, before slipping under the crisp white sheets of your plush king-sized bed.
The LayoutGround Floor
The ground floor of Villa Shamballa Residence features a breezy lounge with cool stone floors, large cream coloured sofas and armchairs and natural wooden tables. One side of the lounge is completely open to the infinity pool, offering views out over the river gorge and letting sunlight and fresh air pour in. The lounge also has a flat screen TV, DVD and CD player for your entertainment.
Walk past the room divider with cut-out windows that house Indonesian artefacts and beautiful vases full of fresh flowers, and you reach the dining room with its intimate round table that also looks out over the pool. You can opt to dine inside here, or head out to the covered outdoor dining pagoda for breakfast in the fresh morning air or a romantic candlelit dinner by the pool listening to the soothing sound of the river below and traditional gamelan music wafting across the valley.
The wooden pool deck by the infinity pool is the ideal spot for working on your tan on one of the cushioned sun loungers, chilling out with a good book and enjoying sunset drinks as the sky morphs into vibrant shades of orange, red and pink. At night, the pool is lit up from below and the villa boasts soft lighting that creates a warm and romantic ambiance.
The ground floor also boasts the main bathroom, which was created with pure pampering in mind. Have a soak in the large terrazzo bathtub surrounded by candles, with millions of stars shining above and the sound of bamboo leaves rustling in the balmy breeze. Villa Shamballa Residence also offers luxurious natural aromatherapy products and thick plush towels.
Upstairs
