The design and decor pays homage to Indonesian heritage with colonial-style furnishings, wooden shutters, and Indonesian and Chinese antiques and artefacts. The Layout

INDOOR LIVING
The open-plan concept at Des Indes II means you have plenty of places to socialise and relax that are covered, yet open on various sides to allow breezes to flow through. The huge fan-cooled living pavilion is a prime gathering spot with two seating areas and a long dining table that can sit up to ten people. On the other side of the koi pond there is an inviting bar with bar stools and another seating area. Behind the bar is the kitchen, where the staff will prepare gourmet meals and drinks. Head to the smaller pool and you’ll find another seating area with comfortable chairs and Indonesian antiques.

OUTDOOR LIVING
Des Indes II has not one, but two private pools, each surrounded by terraces with sun loungers. The smaller pool and the two bedrooms that face it can be closed off for privacy with a wall of plantation shutters. On one side of the larger pool there is a breezy bale with soft cushions, and next to the smaller pool there is a cosy dining pergola that can seat four people.

GUEST SUITES
The five bedrooms at Des Indes II are all about the same size, and each is outfitted with rich teakwood floors, oriental carpets, 47-inch TVs with satellite channels, and air-conditioning. The ensuite bathrooms are also air-conditioned and have walk-in wardrobes, monsoon showers and bathtubs. Four of the bedrooms have king-sized four-poster beds and one of the bedrooms has twin beds that can be converted into a king-sized bed. Four of the bedrooms open directly onto the pool terraces, while the bedroom on the upper floor has a private rooftop terrace.

TRANSPORT	The villa’s central Seminyak location means many attractions are within easy walking distance. If transport is required, the villa manager will happily call one of the island’s safe and reasonably priced metered taxis, or organise the hire of a car and driver.

Des Indes II enjoys a prime location in the heart of Seminyak, just minutes from Petitenget Beach and the sacred Petitenget temple. Just a short stroll away you’ll find some of Bali’s most celebrated dining and entertainment venues including Ku De Ta, Potato Head Beach Club, La Lucciola, and Mano Beach House. Seminyak is Bali’s fashion capital, so there are also plenty of boutique shops by independent and international designers. Should you want to travel further afield to other destinations like Canggu, Tanah Lot, Ubud, or the Bukit, the friendly staff can help arrange transportation options.
