Villa Crystal Castle is surrounded by rice paddies and tall palm trees, giving it a serene, all-natural atmosphere. The elegant pavilions feature recycled timber and smooth stone floors alongside traditional Indonesian artworks and antiques. Wellness is a key focus here, so guests can indulge in soothing spa treatments, healthy cuisine with ingredients sourced from local farmers, yoga classes, and water filtered through a reverse osmosis system and re-energised in an amethyst crystal chamber. Throughout the villa there are numerous healing natural crystals from the owners’ extensive collection.

The Layout

INDOOR LIVING
Villa Crystal Castle’s main social space is the huge living and dining room that is open on three sides and faces the swimming pool. To one side you have a lounge area with a C-shaped sofa and oversized pillows that can be used for extra seating on the floor. On the other side there is a long wooden dining table that can seat up to 10 people. Behind the living area there is a fully-equipped modern kitchen.

The Rose Spa is set in a separate pavilion and has two massage tables for solo or couples spa treatments. Spa therapists are on call to provide treatments including massages, body scrubs, and aromatherapy floral baths. This pavilion also has a juice bar and guest restrooms. Next to the spa pavilion there is a large yoga shala made with timber from a 300 year old fishing boat that was pulled out of a swamp in Java. The yoga shala overlooks rice paddies and has purple mosquito netting for extra comfort.

OUTDOOR LIVING
Villa Crystal Castle makes the most of its tropical location with ample garden space and decks that offer views of the rice paddies and jungle. The swimming pool is the main focal point and it is surrounded by manicured lawns and a sundeck with loungers and umbrellas. Perhaps the most intriguing feature is the pebble and rose quartz spiral to the front of the spa. The spiral includes a pebble path that winds its way around rose quartz crystals. Guests can walk the path to stimulate reflexology and acupressure points on the feet.

MASTER SUITE
The master suite is named Tara’s Temple and is set in its own spacious pavilion just steps from the sun deck and pool. Two of the walls feature floor-to-ceiling glass for views out to the tropical jungle. This suite has a king-sized bed on a raised wooden platform, a cosy daybed set in a window nook, and an ensuite bathroom with an indoor shower and an outdoor shower surrounded by heliconias.

GUEST SUITES
The remaining guest suites are named after healing crystals and all have king beds that can be converted into twins. The Topaz and Citrine suites are located on the opposite side of the pool from the master suite and they feature a shared bathroom with an al fresco shower, making this a good option for families with children or friends travelling together. The Carnelian and Celestite suites are located on either side of the living pavilion and they each have their own ensuite bathrooms. Then there are two self-contained bungalows at the back of the property with small kitchens and ensuite bathrooms.
