Overview
Villa Asada is the perfect escape from the hedonism of south Bali, as it rests on private property just 100 metres from the ocean in rural East Bali. Although the locale is blissfully free of crowds and chaos, it is just a short drive to the shops, restaurants and cafes of Candidasa, as well as two of East Bali’s five-star resorts, Amankila and Alila Manggis.
However, you might just find that leaving the villa is challenging, as the sweeping ocean views, manicured lawns, breezy terraces, 18-metre infinity pool and bright and airy rooms decked out in soft sofas, solid wood tables, antiques and colourful artworks leave you wanting for nothing. The Layout
Indoor Living
You enter the villa on the top floor of the main pavilion, where you will find the open-plan living and dining room with its long comfy couches, soaring ceilings, antique furnishings and a huge wooden dining table that can seat up to 12 people. French doors open up to a sea-facing balcony with another table for al fresco meals overlooking the water. This floor also has a designer kitchen outfitted with everything you need to cook home cooked meals, as well as separate staff area where the villa chef will prepare you gourmet dishes.
Guest Suites & Media Room
The bottom floor of the main villa pavilion is dedicated to the entertainment room and two guest bedrooms, each of which have queen sized beds, polished wooden floors, bright decor, ensuite bathrooms with bathtubs and rain showers, and doors that lead out to the pool and terrace. Between the two guest rooms there is an air-conditioned TV room with a huge flat screen TV, surround sound system, couches and beanbag chairs.
Master Suite Pavilion
A second villa pavilion has a master bedroom on each floor. The upstairs master bedroom has high ceilings, a king bed draped in mosquito netting, a black-tiled ensuite bathroom with a large tub and monsoon shower, and a private balcony where you can soak up the sea views. The downstairs master bedroom is similar to the upstairs room, but with the added bonus of a door that leads directly to the terrace and pool, and an open-air shower in the spacious ensuite bathroom.
Outdoor Living
The garden area is where you will probably spend most of your time, as you’ll find plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas to recline on, the inviting infinity pool that looks out over the ocean, and a fully stocked bar on the wooden pool deck with comfortable bar stools and a cozy seating area with beanbag chairs. On the terrace there is also a long 10-seater table for meals under the blue skies or stars, and just beyond you will find a tennis table area and a Balinese bale perched on the edge of the cliff.

Location
Villa Asada is located 200 metres from the main road in a rural coastal area, so the services of the villa’s car and driver are essential. Prestigious neighbours within two kilometres include two of the best resorts in Bali – Amankila and Alila Manggis. A short drive will bring you to the small seaside town of Candidasa (5km), and the 700-year-old walled village of Tenganan (7km) – a stronghold of native traditions. There are plenty of eateries in Candidasa, ranging from restaurants serving Western cuisine to warung-style cafes serving local dishes and seafood galore. The best beaches in the locality are Pasir Putih (10km), a white-sand crescent-shaped beach bordered by coconut groves, and Pantai Kecil near the picturesque village and ferry port of Padang Bai.

Great Vacation
The moment I found the villa, I fell in love with it. My family and I do love Villa Asada. The awesome seascape is so enchanting and the lasting sound of surges is soothing. Being indoor, I feel close to the ocean. Plus, it has the most hospitable staff, who make our stay even more enjoyable. Thanks to them, we felt at home and had a great vacation!

Gorgeous
Villa Asada completely lived up to our expectations. It's as good as the photos, and the view from the villa is even better. The garden is stunning, Bougainvillea and tropical plants fluttering in the breeze, and birdsong just made it so peaceful. The staff was incredible; very attentive and warm but not intrusive whatsoever. Katut was always ready with a smile. And suchi makes the best steaks, but I warn you not to ask how they're prepared because it apparently involves a LOT of butter and you're here to relax, not worry about your diet. We went over Xmas and this is apparently bad weather season in Bali, but every day was perfect. We experienced rain for about 2 hours one afternoon during our entire week stay. I would highly recommend the east coast of bali compared to The south and west. I haven't been to the north, but can say the east was gorgeous. Oh, and an easy drive to the airport. Easier than the drive from the airport to Ubud, so don't let the drive put you off. As soon as we can confirm dates I plan to book Villa Asada again. That's how much we loved it.

My favourite holiday place, EVER!
Absolutely love everything about Villa Asada, from its amazing position with spectacular views over the ocean to the beautiful home itself and the amazing staff, this is without doubt my favourite holiday destination (and we holiday a lot!). Having visited before in early 2010, it was time for another visit. It was beautiful then, but with major renovations and additions, it is something truly spectacular now. From the beautiful open upper/entry level living spaces and balcony, to the large theatre room and stunning pool deck and bar area, it is just a beautiful place for friends and family to relax and unwind......and that is without mentioning the new dedicated theatre/games room, the gym or the four stunning bedrooms, including absolutely amazing main suites! with a party of 10 (six adults, 3 kids and a baby) you would think one villa would be a bit 'tight' but there was plenty of space to get together or relax in privacy, with so many living areas and even a separate bale, the perfect place to unwind with a book and enjoy the views of the ocean Nusa Penida and Bali itself. The staff were absolutely amazing - including some of the original staff from our new visit and a few new additions - and could not do enough for us. It's an absolute pleasure to spend time with staff that you can go away thinking of as your friends. From beautiful treats, organising games, playing with the kids and showing us traditional Balinese cooking and they prepared all of our delicious meals, they were simply amazing.....oh, and those Mango smoothies! We will definitely be back to Villa Asada again! love it!

Magnificent
The villa was magnificent...even better than the photos ! We couldn't have been more comfortable, better fed or made more welcome by the fantastic,friendly ,ever smiling staff. If you are considering Bali and want to be away from the nightclubs and backpackers this has to be a must.

A brilliant place to relax with exceptional staff
This was a wonderful holiday shared with friends and all our children. The accommodation is well thought out and very child friendly with staff that were fantastic and were willing to assist us with any of our requests and even entertained our kids on occasion! There are many things to do locally if you choose or if you prefer this is a perfect quiet retreat. This was the most relaxing holiday experience at a beautiful location. We cannot talk highly of the staff as they certainly made our stay very special.

You Will Love Villa Asada!
We stayed at Villa Asasda for 7 nights with our three children aged 8,11 and 12 along with another family of 4. We had previously spent time in Candidasa and loved the laid back feel in comparison to Kuta. Villa Asada is stunning (5 Star) and run by an excellent team who go out of their way to make your stay a great experience. I can not imagine a better setting for a relaxing holiday.

AWESOME!
Beautiful expansive home with a truly spectacular view of the water. But, what made it even more special was the warm attentive staff. They could not do enough to make our vacation even more special. I had a Birthday while there and they created a complete festival including floating candles in the pool at night. It was one of my best celebrations ever. We would come back and visit this gem of a vacation home again and again.
