Waka Land Cruise Bali - Discover Hidden Bali Tour

Discover Rural Bali – Waka Land Cruise

Tired of the hordes of tourists, crowded beaches and noisy restaurants you so often encounter in Bali? It may be time to get out and see a slice of the real Bali, and no one does it better than Waka Land Cruise. From endless rice fields to tiny country roads, lush rainforests and traditional villages, Waka takes you off the tourist trail to explore natural beauty and fascinating Balinese culture.

Waka Land Cruise Bali - Discover the Real Bali Tour

The tour starts when your driver picks you up in a ’92 Land Rover Defender from your villa or hotel. As you drive through emerald green rice paddies, your friendly and knowledgeable cruise director will take the time to explain the things you see along the way and the ins and outs of Balinese and Hindu culture. You visit a traditional stone-quarry where you see how the building blocks of Bali come to life, as well as a traditional Balinese farmer’s house, where a welcoming family shows you how the Balinese day-to-day life is organised. As the tour goes on, the driver will stop at gorgeous photography sites, including the spectacular UNESCO protected Jatiluwih Rice Fields, and he gives you plenty of time to get those stellar pics that will make your friends at home envious.

After touring the countryside and exploring forests, fields, and temples, you’ll be ready for a hearty meal, and the Waka Land Cruise lunch sure doesn’t disappoint. To get to the restaurant, you drive up a mountain into the rainforest, eventually arriving at a small eatery tucked away in the woods. The restaurant is reserved for Waka Land Cruise guests only, which means you get all of the tempting buffet dishes all to yourselves. Pile up your plate and savour the vibrant flavours of Indonesian cuisine with only the sound of nature surrounding you. Simply sublime!
