Bali’s Best Golf Courses

So many people come to Bali to hit up the beaches, pools, restaurants, shops and bars. But not you. No, you much prefer to be out in the fresh air under the clear blue skies testing your coordination, accuracy, strength and stamina. That’s right, we’re talking about the good old game of golf. Luckily for you, Bali has some of the best greens on the planet with incredible views, challenging holes and world-class facilities.

New Kuta Golf Course

It’s hard not to fall in love with New Kuta Golf at first sight for its stunning location atop limestone cliffs overlooking the cobalt waters of the Indian Ocean. Designed by the renowned Golfplan group, this 18-hole course follows the natural contours of the land, providing undulating fairways and greens, challenging sand traps and shady groves of native trees. In addition, the club offers the Golf Academy Bali, which was created by PGA professional Neil Douglas, a stylish restaurant overlooking the 9th and 18th holes, a bar with a lookout tower that offers prime sunset vistas, a tranquil spa, and exciting championship tournaments throughout the year.

Bali Handara Golf & Country Club

Golfers from all corners of the world come to Bali to experience this iconic golf course located in the cooler central highlands of Bali. The 18-hole championship course rests inside the crater of an extinct volcano at over 1,000 meters above sea level, which makes it the highest golf course in Indonesia and one of the most visually arresting. Start your day early to take in the mists rising off the rainforest and mountain tops, cruise around the peaceful greens in your top of the line golf cart, or hone your skills with PGA pros. There is also a fine dining restaurant on site, as well as luxurious accommodation should you want to stay overnight.

Bali Beach Golf Course

This 9-hole course is ideal for golfers of all skill levels, as the wide open fairways and greens were designed to provide an even putting surface without too many pitches. In addition, the greens are well bunkered, which means there is little room for shots to go wildly astray. However, the subtle breaks on the greens will keep you on your toes, and the water features, shady pine groves, sand traps and wind also add to the overall challenge. The Bali Beach Golf Course also offers full equipment rental, golf caddies and a great Indonesian restaurant at the clubhouse.
