OnboardIndoor and outdoor living blend seamlessly onboard Samambaia, as she offers plenty of spaces to soak up the sun, enjoy al fresco meals, and relax in air-conditioned comfort. On the main deck there is a long wooden table with bench seating for meals amid sea breezes and under the stars. Sun lovers can head to the upper deck where there are ergonomic sun loungers and 360-degree views, or recline on the cushions in the bowsprit lounge, while divers will love the dedicated dive deck with space for up to 14 divers to change and store gear.
Inside there is a spacious air-conditioned dining area with multiple tables for group gatherings or intimate one-on-one meals, as well as large windows on all sides and a lounge area with cushioned bench seating next to the windows. Here you will also find a work station with ample desk space and room for photography and videography equipment.
Bespoke Cruises
During the summer months, Samambaia sets sail to Komodo National Park and the Alor archipelago, both of which offer incredible scenery both above and below water. Komodo National Park features rugged landscapes with smoking volcanic peaks and uninhabited islands where giant lizards roam. The Alor archipelago is just as intriguing, as these remote islands have not yet been hit by tourism and are renowned as prime whale watching spots.
Voyages in the winter months include Raja Ampat, which has thousands of untouched islands and some of the most diverse marine life on the planet. Here you can dive and snorkel with manta rays, seahorses, clownfish and sharks and enjoy picnic lunches on deserted white sand beaches. Samambaia also sails to the original spice islands in the Banda Sea, where you can explore quaint colonial buildings and forts left over from the days of the spice trade.
Cabins
Samambaia features 7 stunning cabins, each with warm wood, batik pillows, individual air-conditioning units and ensuite bathrooms with a combination of rain shower heads and held-held showers. The master cabin is located on the after deck and has large windows that are specially coated to allow for 180-degree views from the inside and privacy from the outside, a king-sized bed with a fluffy duvet, and a seating area with a sofa. Below deck there are four double cabins with king beds, and two twin rooms with single beds.
