Mahodaya (Amanikan)

3 Cabins | 6 Guests | 10 Crew | 32m
From USD 8,750 / night

Lovers of luxury may be familiar with Aman Resorts and their legendary five-star locations around the world. Mahodaya (formerly Amanikan) was their first luxury cruiser that was originally built to compliment Amanwana, a gorgeous tented camp on the private island of Moyo just off of Sumbawa. This 32-metre vessel pays homage to the history of Indonesian seafaring with rich wood and brass accents and sustainable furnishings, but offers all the comfort and service of a world-class Aman resort.

Onboard

The focal point of Mahodaya (formerly Amanikan) is its expansive foredeck with an open-air bar, dining area and a barbecue where your private chef can grill up fresh fish caught that day. This is also an ideal spot to soak up some sun and the ever-changing views of the Indonesian archipelago’s green islands, turquoise waters and white sand beaches. Head through the doors on the foredeck and you will find a roomy air-conditioned lounge with comfortable sofas, wide windows and mod-cons like portable Bose docking stations.

Bespoke Cruises

Mahodaya offers incredible adventures to some of Indonesia’s most fascinating landscapes both above and below the water. The Komodo Expedition takes you to the rugged islands of West Nusa Tenggara where the famous Komodo dragons reside and colourful coral reefs thrive just off the coasts, while the Raja Ampat expedition explores one of the most biologically diverse areas on Earth with thousands of untouched islands, crystal clear waters and underwater caves, cliffs and coral reefs.

No matter which expedition you choose, your cruise director will guide you on an unforgettable journey full of surprises and exclusive experiences like trips to some of the world’s most renowned snorkelling and diving sites, picnics on deserted beaches, and visits to traditional Indonesian villages where time seems to have stopped centuries ago.

Cabins

No detail was spared designing Mahodaya's beautiful above-deck cabins, each of which is done up in natural earth tones and features a private ensuite bathroom and terrace. The master cabin is set on the stern of the boat, offering the utmost privacy, and it has a plush king-sized bed, wraparound windows and a private sundeck with daybeds for reclining and relaxing amid sea breezes and seascapes. The other two cabins have high ceilings, ensuite bathrooms with double vanities and separate showers and toilets, and either a private balcony or a semi-private sundeck.
