BIASA Blends Fashion, Art and Lifestyle

If we had to pick one quintessential brand that expresses the unique culture, ambiance and tropical lifestyle of Bali, it would have to be BIASA. Founded in 1994 by Italian fashion designer Susanna Perini, BIASA started as a small boutique in Seminyak selling sophisticated yet comfortable resort wear, and has gone on to become an internationally acclaimed name with multiple shops, an art gallery and an eclectic retail mecca for those with an eye for aesthetics. Whether it’s clothes, artworks, homewares or artisan products, BIASA manages to pull off extraordinary simplicity with aplomb.

BIASA: Tropical Fashion That Blends Elegance and Ease

Many people know BIASA for its distinctive clothing lines for both men and women. The brand’s designs often feature deconstructed silhouettes made with light, breathable materials—perfect for tropical weather.

Women can enjoy breezy garments that drape beautifully in flattering cuts. For men, BIASA offers finely tailored shirts, shorts, trousers, and jackets in linen and cotton. The look is effortlessly chic and relaxed.

You’ll find the latest pieces at BIASA’s flagship store in Seminyak, with additional outlets in Ubud, Sanur, and Jakarta.

BIASA ArtSpace: Where Fashion Meets Fine Art

In 2005, Susanna Perini took her creativity beyond fashion with the launch of BIASA ArtSpace. Now located on the second level of BIASA+ in Seminyak, the gallery showcases work from both established and up-and-coming artists from Indonesia and around the world.

Visitors can view a diverse collection including paintings, photography, sculpture, installations, handicrafts, and illustrations. You’ll also spot art pieces displayed throughout the retail space, making for an immersive experience.

BIASA+: A Two-Storey Celebration of Style and Culture

Celebrating its 20th year, BIASA+ is the latest evolution of the brand—a vibrant two-level space filled with fashion, art, and homewares.

The architecture itself is a visual treat. Recycled fixtures draw the eye, while orchids spill from the ceiling, which is uniquely lined with orange terpal—a material traditionally used for rice harvesting in Bali. The result is a space that’s both stimulating and serene.

Ground Floor: Eclectic Fashion and Accessories

The first floor is dedicated to fashion and accessories. Alongside the current BIASA collections, you’ll find jewellery, hats, scarves, sarongs, and vintage sunglasses curated from global designers.

It’s a haven for those who love to mix refined style with playful, colorful pieces.

Upper Level: Art Exhibits and a Curated Garden Market

Upstairs, the BIASA ArtSpace continues with rotating exhibitions. Just outside, the garden area offers a handpicked selection of home goods from around the world. Think handmade pots, Indian rugs, artisanal cookware, and eye-catching crockery, flowers, and plants.

Every Friday, BIASA+ hosts a garden market featuring fresh organic produce, baked goods, and locally made artisan products—perfect for experiencing Bali’s creative spirit.
