Yet despite being so close to so many attractions, you still have your own secluded slice of paradise where you can switch off and enjoy the scenery and serenity.
Your first glimpse of Villa Capung is the beautiful lotus pond that stretches along one side of the open-air living and dining space. Follow the stepping stones across the pond and you arrive in the light and airy living area, where you can plunk down on the soft red sofa and enjoy a fruity welcome drink while looking out over the glittering turquoise pool and the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean.
After you’ve settled in one of the three luxurious suites, head down to the pool for an afternoon of refreshing dips in the crystal clear waters of the pool, or make your way to the cliffside bale (gazebo) to relax with a good book as the ocean breezes wash over you. When the sun starts to sink into the sea, you can enjoy sunset cocktails on the pool deck before indulging in delicious gourmet creations prepared by the talented villa chef. At night soft lights illuminate the pool and living area, and all you can hear is the chirping of frogs and the gentle bubbling sounds of the villa’s water features.
For those who can tear themselves away from the lush gardens and comfy daybeds at Villa Capung, there are many things to do during the day around the Bukit. Hit up the beaches along the coast to ride superior swells at world-famous surf spots like Blue Point, Padang Padang and Dreamland, head to the greens to tee off at the New Kuta Golf Club or the Nusa Dua Golf Club, visit the spectacular Uluwatu temple perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the crashing surf, or gorge yourself on freshly caught fish and crustaceans at a beachfront restaurant on Jimbaran Beach.
