With 5 generous bedrooms, entertainment options like a cinema room and billiards table, and spectacular views of the Indian Ocean as far as the eye can see, Grand Cliff Ungasan is the perfect escape for families and groups of friends.view
It’s not often that you find a villa like Villa Bayuh Sabbha, a luxury 5-bedroom tropical haven perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean and on clear days all the way to Mount Agung in the north and Java’s Mount Bromo to the west. This is classic Balinese architecture at it’s best—thatched roofs, teakwood verandas and limestone pathways that make their way through lush gardens. Families and groups will find plenty to love here, but Villa Bayuh Sabbha really shines as a luxe wedding villa.
Villa Bayuh Sabbha was built to blend seamlessly into the landscape of the Bukit, and you will find that no matter where you go in the villa, you have incredible views out to sea and the gardens filled with frangipani trees and bougainvillea blossoms. Lush furnishings catch the eye like teak tables, plush cushions and antique cabinets, as do the imaginative sculptures and rustic artworks.
There is plenty of space here to spread out and play, as the villa features indoor and outdoor living areas and dining rooms, a relaxation pavilion next to the main pool, two self-contained guest pavilions that share their own pool, plus a gym, tennis court, study, TV room, and kid’s play area. Then there is the gorgeous bale on the edge of the cliff that makes for a scenic spot to tie the knot.

Main Living Pavilion
Enter through the antique villa doors and follow the path lined with lotus ponds to the main living pavilion. This huge space has long wooden sofas with soft-hued pillows and an open front that overlooks the main pool and beyond to the ocean. To the right of this space is the dining room with a huge 12-seater table, as well as more intimate seating options and an al fresco terrace. The fully equipped kitchen is located behind the dining room.
To the left of the living pavilion is another pavilion with two guest bedrooms on the ground floor (one with a four-poster king bed, and the other with twin beds), each of which have antique furnishings, sliding doors that open to a stone terrace, and ensuite garden courtyard bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers.
The master bedroom takes up the entire second floor above the guest suites and features a four-poster super-king bed, a wrap-around wooden veranda overlooking the water, and a huge bathroom with a raised Jacuzzi.
For families or couples travelling together, the two stand-alone guest rooms at the front of the property have their own entrance and parking area, and they feature conical thatched roofs, bleached wood furniture, king beds and beautiful courtyard garden bathrooms with bathtubs, indoor showers and outdoor showers. They also share their own pool and a sea-facing living and dining pavilion.
Media & Study Pavilion
Behind the sleeping pavilion is another 2-storey building with an air-conditioned TV room on the ground floor. A deep white sofa makes for the perfect movie viewing spot, and this room can also be converted into another bedroom with two twin beds. Upstairs is the study with its antique wooden desk and walls lined with bookshelves.
A large thatch-roofed Balinese wantilan, set in the gardens beside the main infinity pool, is furnished with low, cushioned sofas. This is the ultimate relaxation area and also perfect for yoga or massage. Ceiling fans and Bose speakers enhance the ambiance. A romantic balé lies at the far edge of the property looking towards Uluwatu and the setting sun. Put to great use during the many weddings celebrated at the villa, the sunset balé has a stone floor and thatch roof to blend with the style of the house.
Gym & Tennis Court
At the back of the property you will find the gym with its free weights, cardio equipment and stereo system. The gym also overlooks the kid’s play area with swings and a sand pit. However, if you want to get some fresh air and exercise at the same time, the tennis court also fits the bill, and it can even be floodlit at night for games under the stars.
