Looking for a chic holiday beach house in Bali with access to some of the best surf breaks on the planet? Mandala the Rocks is a breezy 6-bedroom villa that faces the famous Impossibles surf break in Uluwatu. Unlike most villas in this cliff-fringed area, Mandala the Rocks is perched on low-lying rocks directly on the beach, which means you can wake up and within minutes be strolling along the sand, swimming in the ocean, or riding swells all along the coastline. Highlights of the villa include a private bar, spacious ocean-fronting deck, clifftop gym, and a full complement of staff including a private chef.
Mandala the Rocks has a fresh modern feel with white stone throughout, huge windows with turquoise shutters, and colourful artworks and cushions in every room. Each bedroom has its own private terrace for taking in the sea breezes, and the huge living area opens to a sunny deck with views of the Indian Ocean just metres away. When you’re not enjoying the sun, sand and surf, you can gather with friends and family for sundowner cocktails and gourmet meals on the deck and make use of the turntables and vinyl collection. Whether you’re planning a family getaway or a beach escape with a group of friends, Mandala on the Rocks is a sublime seaside option.

The main living area at Mandala the Rocks is located on the ground floor and open on two sides to allow for spectacular views of the ocean. The sunken lounge area features a large built-in sofa that is covered in soft cushions and offers plenty of space to spread out. Behind the lounge there is a private bar with Art Deco style stools and a long stone dining table with wooden stools and chairs. This room also has turntables connected to a Sonos sound system and a vinyl collection. The clifftop gym is perfect for a quick warm-up workout before you hit the surf.
Mandala the Rocks does not have a pool, but who needs one when you have the ocean right on your doorstep? Plus, you have a spacious sundeck with a sprawling daybed covered in turquoise cushions and shaded by turquoise umbrellas. The deck juts out over the stones and beach, so you have 180-degree views of the ocean and coastline.
Each of the six guest suites at Mandala the Rocks has its own private terrace with sun loungers overlooking the beach and ocean. Big windows let natural light and breezes in and pops of colour come in the form of abstract artworks, oriental rugs, and contemporary wardrobes. The suites also have plush king-sized beds and ensuite bathrooms awash in terrazzo surfaces, gold fixtures and lattice panels that offer glimpses out to the sea. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and four on the upper level.
