Modern tropical elegance is the first thing that comes to mind when you enter the gorgeous grounds of Villa Tukad Pangi. Tukad means ‘river’ in Balinese, and this stylish 3-level, 3-bedroom luxury villa was designed to fit the natural contours of the land, which slopes gently down to the lush banks of the Pangi River. Each of the slate-roofed pavilions is designed with natural stone and wood materials, contemporary decor and state-of-the-art amenities, and the buildings are separated by 2 infinity pools on two different levels that are shaded by frangipani and palm trees and overlook the river and the terraced rice paddies stretching out from the opposite bank of the river.

Overview

It’s hard not to impressed by the spectacular layout of Villa Tukad Pangi and the oh-so-chic design. Start at the upper level, where you can sink into the oversized sofas in the open-sided lounge area as you gaze out over the multi-level pools. The living area merges seamlessly onto the upper pool deck, where you can spend the day soaking up the sun on a lounger and plunging into the refreshing infinity pool. If nature is your thing, head to the lower infinity pool to look out over the gently flowing Pangi River and watch the birds and butterflies flit in the towering trees overhead.

After a relaxing day of sunbathing and swimming, gather at the dining room table, where you can indulge in exquisite Asian or Western dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients and prepared by your own personal chef. After dinner, have a few drinks with loved ones as you watch TV or DVDs on the massive retractable projector screen in the lounge, or head to the elegant study to chill out to groovy beats played on the cutting edge stereo system.

Of course, once you see the bedroom suites, you may be tempted to just hibernate in your secluded bungalow, hanging out on the daybed on the breezy outdoor terrace or taking in the latest TV shows and movies on your flat screen TV. With oversized bathtubs that are open to the stars above, a nighttime soak before slipping under the crisp white sheets of your plush bed is definitely in order.

The Layout

Indoor Living
On the upper level, the lounge is an oasis of cool breezes with open sides that look out over the pool and gardens, stylish wooden slats to keep the sunlight from heating up the room, cool creamy white stone floors and ceiling fans above for extra comfort. The long, wide sofas are perfect for reclining with a good book or chilling out with friends. At just the push of a button, a 145-inch retractable projector screen descends, so you can watch the latest cable TV shows or the latest blockbusters from the fully stocked DVD library. To one side of the lounge, there is a stylish rounded table with high-backed chairs, where you can enjoy fine gourmet meals amid natural light in the daytime or soft, romantic lighting in the evening.

The Studio
Head to one side of the living and dining pavilion, and you’ll find an inviting study with top of the line equipment for all your entertainment needs. Peruse the dark wooden bookshelves along the back wall for great reads or check out the DVD library for movies of all genres. Settle onto one of the large sofas or daybeds as you take in all the action on the 84-inch absolute projector screen, or plug your laptop into the TV with the VGA cable to view photos, watch movies and live streaming from the Internet, or listen to music. There is also an iPod dock on the stereo, so you can listen to all of your favorite tunes here.

Guest Suites
The bedroom pavilions at Villa Tukad Pangi are spread out over three levels, so each suite offers the maximum seclusion and space. Floor to ceiling glass windows look out over the gardens, pools and the river banks, and the venetian blinds can be closed for privacy. Each room has large beds decked out in the finest linens, soaring ceilings, rich wooden furniture and 26-inch flat screen TVs, DVD players and 5.1 Channel Home Theatre speaker systems. There are also gorgeous ensuite bathrooms with natural stone sinks and bathtubs and rain showers in private courtyards under the sky, as well as outdoor terraces with comfortable daybeds laden in pillows.

Outdoor Living
Perhaps the most striking features of Villa Tukad Pangi are the 2 infinity pools on two different levels. The upper pool is attached to the living and dining area, so it is easy to stroll outside for a quick dip on a hot day and then return to the luxurious comfort of the breezy covered lounge. The lower pool skirts the banks of the Pangi River, and offers plenty of shade from the surrounding tropical vegetation and trees.

Location

Villa Tukad Pangi is located in the lush and tranquil setting of the rice paddies of southwest Bali. Apart from the wonderful rural countryside of rice-paddies and Balinese villages, Villa Tukad Pangi is also set close to the coastline so you can equally enjoy the surrounding beaches. There are a number of great cafes and organic eateries around the area.

Its location is only 40 minutes from the international airport, 15 minutes to Tanah Lot and 15-20 minutes to the restaurants, shops and nightlife of Seminyak and only 10 minutes from the island's pre-eminent signature golf course, the Nirwana Bali Golf Course. The golf course can perhaps boast the most beautiful location of any golf course in the world.

Tukad pangi Villa is a special place, beautiful design, lovely pool & very comfortable bedrooms and good wifi. What makes it really different is the staff Arya, Adi, Wayan, that in their modesty and excellent service with the friendly touch that is so Asian gave us an unforgettable time. Two Weeks of Happiness

Coming from France, we spent 2 weeks in this Villa with our 3 kids ( 12 year old, 9 years old, 5 years old). It was 2 weeks of dream and happiness. Yes the Villa is beautiful but 3 persons made it even better : Ayu, Wayan, and Adi (we shall also mention here Bagus, a great "Speaking" driver). They were kind, discrete and always very professional. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner at the Villa are peaceful, extraordinary Asian and Balinese taste. Who knows... maybe one day we will come back.

The whole villa is quite amazing

The highlight of Villa Tukad Pangi is the staff and that's really saying something because the whole villa is quite amazing. The food was delicious, the driver friendly and very safe. The butler was very helpful and made us feel very well taken care of and the gardener kept the villa looking fresh and beautiful. We loved the villa, enjoyed both pools and loved falling asleep to the sounds of the river every night. Heavenly Surroundings

From the moment we arrived at Villa Tukad Pangi we felt the warmth of the villa staff and saw the heavenly surroundings, they were going to be something very special for our family to experience. It was so effortless to switch over to relax made with the lovely "Ayu" at our disposal taking care of every need and request and producing large amounts of "ice tea" for Nadia and fresh juices for the rest of us. Chef Nyoman created magnificent meals for our family everyday, nothing was ever a problem and offered suggestions that turned out to be family favorites! Strawberry dessert, pineapple crepes, chocolate cake, and the list goes on. A very special man with great gift staff were always polite, courteous and willing to help. Amazing!! leaving was very difficult as we enjoyed the culture, lifestyle, gorgeous weather and being thoroughly spoilt by all of the villa staff and driver. Thank you so much all of you and the creative owner who made this piece of heaven on earth and shared it with all of us. Perfect! Hoping to return again, counting the days.
