The villa is part of the private Pantai Lima Estate in Pererenan, a property boasting five holiday homes that can be rented separately or together for weddings, parties, retreats and corporate functions. Villa Sound of the Sea is the most Balinese of the Pantai Lima villas with two bungalows housing 6 beautiful bedrooms, a massive open-sided living and dining pavilion, two pools and a Jacuzzi next to the sand.

The Layout

Indoor Living
The huge 100 square metre living and dining pavilion takes centre place at Villa Sound of the Sea, and it has plenty of seating areas with soft sofas, benches and a large circular dining table that seats 10 people and overlooks the pool and the ocean beyond. There is also a state-of-the-art media room at the villa with a high-definition projection home cinema set-up and a DVD library.

Outdoor Living
Outdoors you will find the 25-metre infinity pool, plus a kid’s pool that is maximum 60cm deep and covered to protect delicate skin from the sun’s rays. Next to the pools there is a covered breakfast bale. Follow the lawn to the edge of the beach and you will come across a wooden deck with a bleached wooden table and chairs for meals amid sea breezes, plus a 6-person Jacuzzi next to the beach. Guests are also welcome to use the shared tennis court and gym at the Pantai Lima Estate.

Follow the steps from the main living and dining pavilion down to the pool and you will reach the floating bale, which can be accessed via stepping stones across a fish pond. In the bale there are large red and white floor cushions, perfect for reclining with a drink and watching the sun sink into the sea as you listen to the tranquil bubbling of the waterfall.

Guest Suites
On either side of the living and dining pavilion there are bungalows that house the master bedrooms. Each of the six bedrooms here has a different design that is reflected in the name of the suites, which include the Wave, Beach, Caribbean, Garden, and Ubud rooms. Three of the rooms have sea views, and all of them feature either a balcony or terrace, plush beds, 37-inch satellite TVs and DVD players, and stylish ensuite bathrooms. The Wave Bedroom also has access to a library that can be converted into an extra bedroom.

Location

Villa Sound of the Sea is located right on the famous sunset beach of Pererenan, Canggu, Bali. There are plenty of things to do in Bali if you choose, and the Villa Manager will be more than happy to arrange things for you.

Based at the villa you can go horseback riding, cycling or jogging, surfing if you’re experienced, or take lessons if you’re a beginner. The stunningly beautiful Greg Norman-designed, world-class Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali golf course, is just 15 minutes away by car.

Less than half an hour away - and easily accessible thanks to the villa's complimentary car and driver - are the many restaurants, bars, boutiques, clubs and cafés of chic Seminyak.

If local culture is your thing, we recommend several “must-see” temples, as well as world famous rice terraces, and the volcanoes and lakes of the interior.

Villa Sounds of the Sea is Heaven on Earth - well beach actually

A true jewel - a tranquil , relaxing and all consuming combination of wonderful sea breeze , incredible sea view , huge swimming pool and absolutely divine staff led by the ever capable and wonderful Made. The dining experience is really as good as any top notch restaurant with a huge menu to choose from. Nothing is too much trouble. We stayed as a small family of three simply because while the accommodation can handle a dozen people we just love the location. It's 20 steps from the pool to absolute beachfront and then a lazy 10 minute walk up to Echo beach to take in the incredible sunset and a Bintang or twelve. Once you have had you fix of Vitamin D (read sunburn) then order the in-house massage for the princely sum of $15 and and try not to catch yourself snoring away as the trickling water of the pond / massage enclosure sends you off into LALA land - sooooo relaxing. This Villa is not cheap - but like everything in this life you get what you pay for. But, grab a small group of 6 or even 8 people and the cost is an absolute comparable bargain. This is our 4th trip to Pantai Lima and first time in this Villa - they are all spectacular - but we highly recommend both Villa Warringin and Villa Sounds of the sea for their absolute beachfront position and amazing staff plus wonderful cuisine. INSANELY GREAT !

Unique Place in the World

Third time that we have stayed at the Pantai Lima Villas and the second time at Villa Sound of the Sea (we are already planning our next visit for Easter next year). From the staff, the villa, the location and the whole experience it is difficult to find fault. If you are looking for some relaxing time in absolute luxury being treated like a king then this is the right place. Beats any luxury villa hotel experience hands down!

A wonderful indulgence we look forward to repeating

This was our second time back to Sound of the Sea. It is exquisite. Where to start? The villa lives up to the overwhelming impression that is provided on the website. Pure luxury and fine taste! The staff were very attentive. We have four kids and they happily engaged the children playing games and providing supervision when required. The kids quickly bonded with the staff and really enjoyed playing with them. They chef was excellent. Don’t be afraid to choose the more sophisticated items from the menu. We got great support with arranging different activities, horse riding (horses came to the beach in front of the villa!!!!), golf etc and with the car and driver able to fantastically deal with our ad-hoc requests. Canggu Beach is approximately 20 minutes away from Seminyak which is just perfect for us. Head in, enjoy the bustle, bit of shopping and perusing and then head back to the tranquility and luxury of the villa. Sound of the Sea – a wonderful indulgence we look forward to repeating. Oh – the kids asked me to mention the huge movie room. They loved it.

The Most Amazing Stay! This must be Heaven!!

I have stayed twice at Villa Sound of the Sea with the whole family and 4 children. This is the best experience we ever had even compared to the high standard of service in Asian Resorts. The personnel is extremely attentive and makes you feel so special by answering and anticipating every request so graciously. As you arrive, you cross the most beautiful rice fields and this itself is an enchantment! As you arrive at the villa, you are greeted by an amazing and solid team. Breakfast in the villa is exquisite with all sorts of fruits, crepes, speciality bread and delicious banana pancakes. The pool is beautiful and extremely relaxing. Juices and fresh water are served to you throughout the day by the poolside and you might want just to cross the lawn to walk on the beach. The staff arranged massages for us every night at the villa and the ladies were excellent! In the evening we had the most beautiful barbecue just next to the sea as there is a beautiful dining table for 10 just next to the beach. The whole villa was lit with candles and soft lighting. The children had a wonderful time picking up shells on the beach, playing by the pool, having a scrumptious tea time and enjoying movies in the entertainment room. There is a few tennis courts as well. The villa driver takes you everywhere you wish with a smile and the city center is just about 20mns away. The rooms are very well appointed and extremely clean and everybody finds its own space among the big estate. This is our second stay and we have found Heaven!! Villa Sound of the Sea we will back!!!

Never experienced anything like it

Sound of the Sea is something else entirely, it's not a villa - it's an experience. I went on a family/friend holiday to Bali and stayed here and at another private villa with cooking and cleaning staff, and it simply does not compare. Sound of the Sea is so far beyond its competition that it really shouldn't be in the same league. The staff are helpful and lovely, no ask cannot be met and it's almost as if they know what you want before you want it. Ray, the driver ready to go all times of the day, is one of the nicest people we had all met and made the scenic drives all the more pleasant. The scenery speaks for itself - so beautiful it could be a painting. I cannot recommend Sound of the Sea enough, the most incredible holiday experience I've ever had - beyond the luxury of the Maldives. Thankyou!!

More than a Villa

This is more than a villa its a private resort. Having stayed in a regular Bali villa with a couple of staff and a cook on call Sound of the Sea is so superior to this experience it can't be considered in the same category. With a fully staffed kitchen and a trained chef, no request cannot be met. We had some American friends staying with us and they actually requested rice krispie treats, something the chef had never heard of but he happily found the recipe and made them for us. All the little things were thought of, towels were constantly replaced by the pool, the staff were always present but never obvious and on hand for anything we might want, including many G&T's throughout the day! Visually this villa is breathtaking as is the location, you literally will not want to leave but if you do the driver is on hand to take you wherever you want to go. On top of this we had massages every day which were enjoyed by all.
