The word ‘layar’ means ‘sail’ in Indonesian, making The Layar a fitting moniker for Seminyak’s newest designer villas and spa. The name refers to the stunning asymmetrical roofs here that slope at an angle and fall dramatically to the ground, evoking the sails of traditional Indonesian sailboats. This is tropical-chic architecture at its best and a serene enclave in the midst of some of Bali’s best restaurants, shops and bars. Despite having an impressive 23 villas, The Layar - Designer Villas and Spa still manages to instil a feeling of openness and space, as the villas are spread out around a large grassy expanse filled with lofty flowering trees, and the setting is elevated, which makes it seem as though the boundary walls are non-existent. The villas themselves were built with total privacy in mind and feature gorgeous garden sanctuaries, open living spaces, elegant pools, modern interiors and luxurious amenities. The Layout

The one-bedroom luxury villas at The Layar seamlessly merge indoor and outdoor spaces with open-plan living and dining rooms that spread out under the wings of the sloped roofs and look out over the inviting sun loungers on the pool decks and the elevated gardens. The light and airy bedrooms have inviting seating areas, king-sized beds and sliding doors that open up onto the aquamarine pools. There are also ensuite bathrooms decked out in Palimanan stones with outdoor showers and massive stone bathtubs in white pebbled courtyards .

Living Areas
Careful thought has been given to the villa’s romantic living area, resulting in a wonderful sense of space, openness and flow that couples will appreciate. With such a splendid selection of settings to chose from, relaxation comes easy, day or night. Drift between the custom-designed teakwood sofa facing the entertainment centre, the sun-loungers reclining on the pool deck, the tiered shallow section of the pool just beyond the living area, or even the stone bathtub gracing the courtyard garden.

Dining Area
The dining area, with its table and quartet of comfortable chairs raised on a platform of warm-toned Merbau wood, provides an elegant space for a leisurely breakfast or romantic candlelit dinner ordered from the extensive room service menu or prepared in the small but well-equipped kitchen beyond the opaque sliding doors.

Guest Suite
Honeymooners and couples will love the design of this large, light-filled king-sized bedroom with its stylish seating area, window onto the courtyard and sliding doors to the pool deck. There’s no scrimping on space in the garden bathroom either – an elegant expanse of Palimanan stone with foliage-fringed shower, elongated counter with twin basis, and – in the adjacent white-pebbled courtyard – a decadently statuesque stone bathtub.

Amazing

My wife and I stayed at the 1BR villa for 5 nights for our honeymoon and we were really glad to have chosen The Layar Villa to stay at. The villa itself was amazing, had an awesome pool, outdoor living area was great that comes with a full functional kitchen for cooking, The bedroom was really comfortable, and the outdoor toilet was awesome. The staff were really friendly and helpful in ensuring our stay was a smooth and pleasant one. The restaurant (settimo cielo) serves awesome breakfast too! Will definitely come back again when me and my wife visits Bali again. Thank you to all the great team and staff at The Layar Villa!

Perfect Place in Seminyak

Marvellous and quiet one bedroom villa with a large pool and open bathroom! Really beautiful to unwind! Also, the food at the Italian restaurant Settimo Cielo was just mouth-watering. Overall, a perfect place to stay in Seminyak!

A wonderful stay at The Layar Villa.

The location is perfect if you want to enjoy the Seminyak lifestyle and be close to all the entertainment area while staying in a quiet place and lovely house. The staff is very professional and helpful and does everything with a smile! Overall a great stay in a very nice environment.
