The Layout

INDOOR LIVING
The main living area at Mandala the Rocks is located on the ground floor and open on two sides to allow for spectacular views of the ocean. The sunken lounge area features a large built-in sofa that is covered in soft cushions and offers plenty of space to spread out. Behind the lounge there is a private bar with Art Deco style stools and a long stone dining table with wooden stools and chairs. This room also has turntables connected to a Sonos sound system and a vinyl collection. The clifftop gym is perfect for a quick warm-up workout before you hit the surf.

OUTDOOR LIVING
Mandala the Rocks does not have a pool, but who needs one when you have the ocean right on your doorstep? Plus, you have a spacious sundeck with a sprawling daybed covered in turquoise cushions and shaded by turquoise umbrellas. The deck juts out over the stones and beach, so you have 180-degree views of the ocean and coastline.

GUEST SUITES
Each of the six guest suites at Mandala the Rocks has its own private terrace with sun loungers overlooking the beach and ocean. Big windows let natural light and breezes in and pops of colour come in the form of abstract artworks, oriental rugs, and contemporary wardrobes. The suites also have plush king-sized beds and ensuite bathrooms awash in terrazzo surfaces, gold fixtures and lattice panels that offer glimpses out to the sea. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and four on the upper level.

Perched on a cluster of rocks on a quiet stretch of white sand beach, Mandala the Rocks has a very peaceful and secluded atmosphere. However, this corner of Uluwatu is famous for its surf breaks, so travel in either direction along the coast and you’ll find rustic beach bars, surfboard rental spots, and local warungs that cater to surfers.
