Designed with 1,200 tonnes of stone imported from the nearby island of Sumba, Tejasuara Residence is a stunning feat of architecture and design. Soaring ceilings create a sense of endless space, open-sided living and dining areas allow you to commune with nature, and a circular fire pit takes centre place at the edge of the turquoise infinity pool. Each serene suite can be booked individually or the residence can be taken as a whole for the utmost privacy. Guests also have access to the five-star facilities and services at the resort including a personal assistant, nutritious cuisine, daily activities and fitness and wellness centres.
INDOOR LIVING
The expansive lounge and dining area at Tejasuara Residence boasts smooth wooden floors, huge pillars that support the lofty thatched roof, and open sides that overlook the gardens and the infinity pool. The long wooden table is perfect for formal and informal meals, and the peaceful library is a great escape for a quiet morning or afternoon. The residence also has an air-conditioned study with that can be converted into an extra bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom.
THE COMO SHAMBHALA SUITE
At 70 square metres, the COMO Shambhala Suite is the largest at the residence and the most luxurious. This suite features a four-poster, king-sized bed made of black bamboo and draped with billowy white netting. There is also an oversized banquette, an ensuite bathroom with a private Jacuzzi, outdoor shower and lush COMO bath products, and a private garden and terrace that looks out over the treetops.
THE TERRACE SUITES
Tejasuara Residence has three gorgeous Terrace Suites to choose from, each with either a king or queen bed, ensuite bathroom with a rain shower, and sliding glass doors that can be opened to allow cooling breezes to waft in or closed for peace and privacy. The suites also have private outdoor areas in the form of either a lush garden or wooden terrace. All suites at the residence also offer modern conveniences such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, coffee and tea-making facilities, and yoga mats.
OUTDOOR LIVING
The name Tejasuara means ‘sound of fire’ in Sanskrit, and the residence pays homage to its name with a circular fire pit at the edge of the infinity pool that illuminates the water with a warm glow at night. The fire pit and pool are surrounded by wooden decks with cushioned sun loungers, and beyond the decks there are stone staircases that lead to the residence’s tropical gardens. Guests can also take part in COMO Shambhala Estate’s daily outdoor activities that include rice field treks, volcano cycling tours, and hydrotherapy circuits in the Vitality Pool.
