As you walk into Bayu Gita Residence, you enter a cool hallway lined with water features and flanked by gorgeous guest bedrooms, one on either side. The guest suites have queen-sized beds laden in brightly coloured pillows, and ensuite semi-outdoor bathrooms done up in cream and white stones and tiles and featuring walk-in rainshowers.
Follow the hallway to the end and you reach glass doors that lead out to the lawn, which is fronted by the stone-tiled sun deck with cushioned loungers and the aquamarine pool lined by a white stone wall. On one side of the pool there is a wooden gazebo with a daybed for afternoon naps and meditation sessions, and on the other side there is a two-storey pavilion that houses the dining room, kitchen, media lounge and master bedroom.
On the ground floor of the adjoining pavilion you will find the open-plan dining area encircled with glass doors that can be opened to enjoy the sea breezes and a teak dining table for 8. There is also a bar and breakfast counter next to the dining room table, as well as a wooden wrap-around patio shaded by a pergola dripping in vines.
Upstairs the large lounge and media room has soft roomy sofas where you can settle in for the night and watch movies on the flatscreen TV and DVD player or sip cold drinks while gazing out the huge windows to the sea beyond the bamboo groves. On the other end of the upper floor is the master bedroom with its soaring rattan ceiling, king bed draped in silky mosquito netting and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer garden views and peeks of the sea over the treetops. This room also glass doors that open to a sea-facing study, a walk-in dressing room and an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower.
