LUXURY YACHTS

Explore ancient spice trade routes through the Indian Ocean and Andaman Sea aboard a majestic ship that combines traditional Phinisi design with modern luxuries. Handcrafted by the renowned Konjo boat builders on the island of Sulawesi, Silolona is a 50-metre luxury liveaboard yacht that boasts spacious teak decks and cabins, elegant furnishings and decor, and a dedicated crew of 17 who offer exceptional service, cuisine and experiences as you journey to some of the most beautiful and beguiling islands on Earth.

Onboard

Silolona has plenty of space for families and groups to spread out on her expansive wooden decks and in her light-filled interiors. Outside, there is a beautifully lit lounge area with daybeds, sun loungers and ample space for alfresco meals at the dining table. Two additional lounge spaces are fitted on the bowsprit and the aft deck, providing room for relaxing in the shade and taking a moment to appreciate the exquisite landscapes that Indonesia has to offer.

Inside, Silolona has a spacious air-conditioned lounge with a huge C-shaped sofa laden in pillows, a dining room with a long wooden table where you can enjoy sumptuous meals prepared by your private liveaboard chef, a bar where you can gather with friends and family to plan your next adventure, and a multimedia centre with a flat screen TV, stereo system, and collections of books, movies and board games.

Bespoke Cruises

The vision behind Silolona comes from Patti Seery, who has been living in Indonesia and working with local people in Irian Jaya since 1983. Patti is a strong supporter for the preservation of local arts and culture and promoting cross-cultural understanding. With Silolona and its sister vessel Si Datu Bua she organises and leads voyages that allow guests to not only see spectacular landscapes and underwater worlds, but also to gain a better understanding of the indigenous people and cultures in this part of the world.

Silolona sails in harmony with the Southeast Asian monsoon seasons in an effort to ensure as many sunny days, calm seas and optimal diving and snorkelling conditions as possible. From April to November she sails to destinations in Indonesia like the rugged islands of Komodo National Park where the world’s largest ‘dragons’ live, the remote Banda Islands that were once at the epicentre of the spice trade, and the world-famous dive sites of Raja Ampat. From December to March Silolona sets sail for the western coasts and islands of Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar.

Cabins

With five stylish cabins including three with king-sized beds and two with double beds, Silolona can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests, which makes the yacht an ideal choice for families, groups of friends or liveaboard retreats. The Asmat, Bali and Java suites have king beds and ensuite bathrooms with his and hers sinks and luxurious showers, while the Sumba and Borneo rooms are slightly smaller and have double beds and ensuite bathrooms with single sinks and luxurious showers. Each of the cabins is air-conditioned and tastefully decorated with local textiles and artworks from the places and cultures they are named after.
