Bespoke Cruises

Katharina sails across the archipelago all the way from Bali to Papua, and Sumba to Sulawesi and beyond, following the seasons and the winds, and staying one step ahead of the rains so as to provide optimum cruising conditions for guests. From April to September she sails in the area between Bali, Flores and the Lesser Sundas, before heading east to Maluku, Papua, Raja Ampat and Sulawesi around October thru March.

Each day on our voyages, we offer plenty of optional off-boat activities to keep our guests occupied. We place a significant emphasis on snorkelling, and aim to get in the water at least once a day to explore the colourful coral gardens that we encounter along the way, especially in the national parks. In addition to this, we always make plenty of opportunities for island visits, during which we stroll through local towns and villages and delve into their cultures. We embark on quests to find Komodo dragons and birds of paradise, trek to hilltops to be rewarded with spectacular views, explore hidden caves and remote islets, swim with manta rays or whale sharks, kayak and paddle in pristine bays, and laze contentedly under shady coconut palms on white sand beaches.

The Katharina provides luxury accommodation for up to 14 guests in 6 six cabins located below decks. 1. A wonderfully relaxing and entertaining week

Just a brief note to say how much we enjoyed our trip on Katharina in September. At the end of a two week land tour of Java and Bali, it was a wonderfully relaxing and entertaining week! Our Tour Director, Ari, was excellent and the trips arranged to see various sights were well planned. The whole of the crew of the Katharina were superb and we enjoyed the food very much. One day, we’ll do another trip.

  1. Dream time with a dream team

  1. A wonderful holiday

My husband David and myself and our two friends John and Glenda Wood were lucky enough to sail on the Katharina recently when we did the Komodo cruise on 4 October. It was a wonderful holiday. I can’t speak highly enough of your crew on the Katharina. They were most helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we all enjoyed our time on board. Thank you for a most amazing holiday on Katharina. We look forward to travelling with you again in the future.
