Sanur Residence is a sleek 3-villa, 9-bedroom estate on Bali's south-east coast, blessed with uninterrupted ocean views. Designed for those who love socialising but also enjoy having their own private space for rest & relaxation.view
Old Bali charm is at an all time high at Villa Hibiscus, a peaceful and pretty 3-bedroom villa situated down a quiet laneway in Sanur. Kids will love frolicking in the gardens here amid fish ponds, fountains and flowers, and parents can escape to secluded nooks and corners for some reflection and relaxation. Splashes of colour brighten the traditional Balinese style rooms and semi-open living areas allow for plenty of fresh air and sunshine. As an added bonus, Merta Sari Beach with its golden sand, calm waters and laid back cafes and restaurants is just a five minute walk away.
Villa Hibiscus was designed with tradition and nature in mind, which means you won’t find the cold minimalist lines here that are so common in so many Bali villas. Thatched roofs peek out above the coconut and frangipani trees, natural stone pathways make their way through the gardens and rich wood is a recurring element in each of the rooms. An 18-metre swimming pool takes pride of place in the centre of the property, and a relaxation bale and traditional rice lumbung adorned with cushions make for ideal spots to curl up with a good book. For those looking for a healthy mix of indoor and outdoor living, Balinese ambience and pure comfort, Villa Hibiscus is it.
The main building at Villa Hibiscus houses the semi-open living and dining room with ample sofas, a wooden bar with stools, and a large dining table that can seat up to 12 people. The open sides allow for views to the pool and gardens, as well as a back courtyard with a tranquil fountain. This building also features a breezy lounge on the mezzanine with huge Chinese style daybeds covered in cushions, plus beanbags, a 47-inch LED flat screen TV, home theatre system and DVD player.
To one side of the main building there is a separate pavilion with a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor dining veranda. This is where the staff will prepare delicious gourmet dishes for you, although guests are also welcome to use the kitchen at their leisure. There is also a separate staff quarters on the property.
Each of the three air-conditioned bedrooms is also located in the main building, and they are connected by a wide sweeping verandah that overlooks the front garden. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, a large dressing room, a wooden writing desk, a chaise lounge and an semi open-air bathroom with intricately carved wood detailing and a stone bathtub. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed draped in white and an ensuite bathroom with a stone tub, and the third bedroom has two double beds, which makes it perfect for kids.
The professionally landscaped garden is perhaps the most spectacular aspect of Villa Hibiscus, as grassy lawns give way to exotic flowering plants, ponds teem with plump koi fish, and tall trees provide patches of shade. You can soak up the sun on the loungers by the pool, take catnaps in the open-sided gazebo, or find peace and solitude with some meditation in the garden lumbung.

Villa Hibiscus is located down a quiet residential back-road in the historical village of Sanur on Bali's southeastern coast. Sanur was Bali's original tourist enclave and is characterized by shady lanes, vine-draped coral walls, sedate leafy compounds, majestic trees and a five-kilometre shoreline within a gentle reef-sheltered lagoon, making it safe for swimming, and is home to many consulates, and large garden estates of wealthy locals and expats.
Located just five minutes' walk from the villa is Merta Sari Beach, normally a very quiet and peaceful beach and popular with tourists, which on Sundays comes alive with the sights and sounds of the local villagers who converge on the sand to run huge kites, swim, buy and sell food, and have a good time.
Strolling up the beach walk from Merta Sari are a variety of cafes, restaurants, coffee shops and sports bars that offer a good choice of where to spend your time. A short taxi ride away in the centre of town are wide selection of restaurants.
